I’ve really put myself in a dilemma. I had been planning on getting some new furniture, which we badly need, but we got another dog, and the thing is, both of the dogs like to sleep on the couch when I’m not looking. Of course, this is part of the reason we need a new couch. I want to get a couch with modern lines, but with the dogs (and cats) a clean, modern white minimalist couch is just not going to happen. Well, not unless it is leather. Then, perhaps. I was looking at some Modern Furniture and saw a leather couch that I just love. I think it would be great as far as helping to solve some of the allergy problems we have going on here in this house. Of course, it is not going to collect pet hair. The only thing I can think of that could be a problem is claws. If I bought a new modern leather sofa and the cats decided to use it as a scratching post, I would have to kill them. Perhaps declawing is in order? Maybe the cats wouldn’t be interested in scratching the couch, since it would be smooth, and not have that nubby fabric surface that cats seem to love so much. I’m definitely going to look into getting a leather sofa as an option, because I’d like something that will last a while.
